The Open Churches Project

The Open Churches Project is an ambitious and innovative education and tourism project that aims to bring church history alive across the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham. It stems from the Church History Project, which was originally set up by the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC) in partnership with others, including the University of Nottingham.

The recent award of a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant has enabled the work of the project to expand considerably.
