This section of the website is devoted to Prayer.  Below are some prayer requests for schools & young people.

Children in Christian homes

Please pray for children who are brought up in church. Pray for their own faith to grow, and not just be something the family does. Pray that they will be bold to stand out as Christians in their schools & among their friends. Pray for strong relationships within Christian marriages & families. Pray for these children as they go through all the usual traumas of growing up!

Church Schools

We have over 70 Church of England Schools in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham. Please pray that God will be evidently present & Christ will be proclaimed within them. Pray for the Headteacher, Staff & Governors. Pray for the pupils. Pray for Jane & Anne, our Diocesan Schools advisors, and Maureen, our Church & Schools Link Officer. All Schools

Pray for all teachers, youth workers, mentors, classroom assistants and staff working in schools. Pray for strong & fair discipline, for compassionate and wise pastoral care, for high quality teaching and learning. Pray for those who find learning difficult, for the high-fliers, & for those in the middle. Pray for strength for those teachers who are wearied by their profession & feel near breaking point. Pray for Christian teachers and children to be witnesses for Christ, where they are.

Children & Young People in Church

Please pray for all Sunday School & Youth Group leaders in our Churches. Many leaders are overworked and feel in need of refreshment. Pray for fresh inspiration for them, and help and understanding from the rest of the church. Pray that children would be nurtured and enthused. Pray for Nick Harding & Angela Haywood as they train & equip all these leaders.
