‘Giving for Life’ literature and other Parish Funding resources

 

 

 

'Giving for Life' is having a significant effect on giving in parishes who have used the free resources during 2010 and 2011.  The national group responsible for this initiative was chaired by our own Colin Slater MBE and has the enthusiastic backing of Diocesan Synod in October 2009.

 

Unlike previous reports, ‘Giving for Life’ presents the challenge of generous giving to our churches in a fresh way, and is backed up by a range of resources for parishes and individuals. These resources were launched at a series of events last year, tailored to a variety of audiences.

 

A new leaflet designed to help churches as they explore the theology behind the generosity of giving is now available. The leaflet has a series of five daily reflections on how we become caught up in God's generosity - and it is recommended to be used in conjunction with two sermons entitled "Cycles of Generosity" and "Generosity enables Mission" - outlines of both can be found at  http://www.parishresources.org.uk/givingforlife/talk.htm
