Bishop to visit power station and donkey sanctuary

  

Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power station and a donkey sanctuary are just two locations which the Bishop of Sherwood will be visiting this week, as part of two days spent in local communities.

 

The Bishop, the Rt Revd Tony Porter, will spend time in the south of Nottinghamshire on Tuesday, 28th April 2009, starting with a visit to Glebe Farm in Gotham at 11.30am. Following lunch at the local pub, he will visit Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station, where he will have a tour of the plant and meet staff.

 

The community visit will end with a visit to Manor Farm Animal Centre and Donkey Sanctuary at Castle Hill in East Leake at about 4pm.

 

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES:
There will be opportunities for photos at the Donkey Sanctuary in East Leake at 4pm on Tuesday 28th April 2009.

 

Two days later,  on Thursday, 30th April, the Bishop will spend time in the Skegby and Sutton-in-Ashfield area when he will visit a church supported charity shop – The Vine Tree Shop, High Street, Stanton Hill, at 2pm. He will then go on to have a tour of the Lammas Leisure Centre, Lammas Road, in Sutton-in-Ashfield, where he will have a chance to see the ice rink, swimming pool and visit the gym at about 3.30pm.
