Local vicar wins award to visit Holy Land
The Rector of St. Paul‘s Church in Carlton-in-the-Willows, the Revd Brian Hall, has won a bursary award from Ecclesiastical Insurance to develop a deeper understanding of inter-faith relations. To explore the subject, he will be travelling to the Holy Land to take part in a study course and will spend time engaging with different faith communities in the country.
Altogether 52 members of the clergy from 28 dioceses have won awards this year, which were presented to the winners at a ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London on Friday 16th January.
The Ministry Bursary Awards have been supporting members of the clergy to meet the costs of their studies and sabbaticals since 1987. In the 22 years of the existence of the awards, more than 650 grants have been awarded.
