Avian Flu Prayers written by John Mason

Heavenly Father, creator of this world in which we were all given our existence. We acknowledge that in the physical world we must face some things which threaten either our health or our prosperity.  Give us, we pray, the benefit of your Holy Spirit that our response to the present danger of Avian Flu may be sufficient, wise, timely and effective; that we may, through His agency, be enabled not only to prevent the danger of damage to our poultry farmers, but also be saved from the wider catastrophe of a pandemic among our own species.  This we ask in the name of our blest redeemer, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Dear Father in heaven, who hast laid down the natural laws of this earth, we pray your help in the present danger of Avian Flu, that through your gift of our intelligence we may find a way to limit its effect both to those whose livelihood is concerned with poultry and all who may be infected by its mutation leading to a possible pandemic whereby so many will be in danger of sickness.  We ask it as we have been bid, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I thank you for everything you give me and my family.

I thank you for friends, mums and dads.

I wish that people could be good not bad.

I wish I could be a better person.

Let things go like you want them to.

To have our daily bread.

You’re in charge.

God who lives in Heaven

Please tell us who you are.

Make everything right.

Do what you think is best.

Make Earth as good as heaven.

Please give us three meals a day.

Help people forgive us as we forgive them.

Help us from ourselves and the evil.

Do what you want to do.

Do amazing things for us.

Amaze us with what you can do.

God,

Tell us who you are,

Make bad god,

You’re the Boss.

Give us food.

Forgive us as we do to others,

Deliver us from evil.

Do anything you want.

And save us from Satan.

Set our world right.

Do not lead us into temptation.

Help us not to do things that will get us into trouble.
